  • Tepeyahualco de Hidalgo. Pue.- Con la participación de cerca de 300 competidores, un recorrido novedoso y enmarcado por el misticismo de la laguna de Alchichica, tuvo lugar este domingo el Triatlón de Puebla 2009, donde Arturo Garza, del Estado de México con un tiempo de 1.53:43 y Brenda del Sol Hernández, de Veracruz con  2.10:21, resultaron los triunfadores de la categoría Olímpica.<br />
<br />
Oscar Carrasco Yánez, coordinador de Eventos Especiales con la representación de Salomón Jauli Dávila, director del Instituto Poblano del Deporte; Othón Bailleres Carriles, presidente de la Asociación Poblana de Triatlón, y Laura Zapata Martínez, Presidenta Municipal de Tepeyahualco, dieron el banderazo de salida de este evento del calendario nacional.<br />
<br />
En esta edición, el Triatlón se desarrolló en dos modalidades Sprint y Olímpica, lo que implicó modificaciones en el recorrido que incluyó a las  poblaciones de Tepeyahualco de Hidalgo y San José Alchichica, donde los habitantes fueron parte también de esta fiesta deportiva.<br />
<br />
A partir de las 10:00 de la mañana,  y debido a las inclemencias del tiempo, se pudo arrancar la competencia a nado, después de disminuir la densa niebla característica del lugar y de la laguna de Alchichica, para que minutos más tarde se hiciera la transición en la bicicleta y concluyeron con la carrera.<br />
<br />
Arturo Garza y Luis Fuentes, procedentes del Estado de México, realizaron trabajo de equipo lo que permitió puntear cada una de las pruebas y hacer el 1-2. El representante del Estado de México terminó en la primera posición con un tiempo de 1.53:43 horas, en el segundo lugar llegó Jorge Luis Fuentes Patiño, también del Estado de México, con 1.54:23 hrs, y en tercero Eduardo Salas, de Veracruz, con un registro de 1.58:21 hrs.<br />
<br />
Mientras que en la rama femenil, Brenda del Sol, de Veracruz, dio la gran sorpresa al imponerse a la favorita, su paisana, Dunia Gómez quien llegó en la cuarta plaza.<br />
